Update
Quick update guys: the marathon will have to be postponed for 3 hours, which means it'll start at 3pm NL time as opposed to 12pm. That's 1:30pm eastern. Really sorry for the inconvenience folks! Hope to see you at 3pm!

Good day for the NintenDawgs
So things are looking good for us! We recently got some spotlight shed on our marathon as we were plugged on the Clan of the Gray Wolf's live-stream, the Echo Screen. In case if you've never heard of them, the Clan of the Gray Wolf (or CotGW, for short) is a geek-tacular website known for its close community and its creators, Roo and Commodore. Last night, I mentioned our charity marathon and they graciously showed off our event details during the stream. Boy, there were quite a few people excited for it. If anyone from CotGW is reading this, I hope to see you in the chat during our marathon! Just below this paragraph is the video on twitch.tv; ya'll have to jump to 1:20:00 to find our plug and then it ends at around 1:25:00.

The week before the April 2012 event
Onion Knight here. Things for our marathon on Friday are going well. We did some test-runs with the stream and our equipment the other day and almost everything went well. I discovered that we'll need some better mics and possibly a better setup with the webcams. I'll have to head out the electronics store soon a pick up some new equipment because we are willing and ready to do what we can to give you guys a good-quality stream for our game marathon. I've got some interesting ideas for a different mic setup that may not usually be done in video game marathons. We'll see how that goes.
Last Friday, we got the chance to sit down and play some of the games on our marathon list. Although these games are in Japanese, my friends were still able to have fun with a language they don't understand. Making up dialogue and plot is always a great thing to do that usually ends with hilarious results. I also got Steve to sit down and play some Mario Paint. Steve is an artist and here's just an example of what you'll see at the marathon:

See you guys at the marathon! Friday 20th at 12pm will be a day to remember.

The beginning of a new era
Hey guys! Scott (also known as The Onion Knight) from the NintenDawgs here. Things are getting underway as we inch closer to the day of the fundraiser. So if you're unaware, we're raising money for Child's Play Charity, which is an organization that raises money for hospitals around the world. If you want to learn more about them, please check out www.childsplaycharity.org.
Our event, which we're thinking of calling Lost in Translation, will take place on April 20th and end April 22. We've got about 14 games on the list to play, although we won't be finishing them all. The list goes a little something like this:
The Legend of Zelda
Dragon Quest
Xevious
Final Fantasy III (and possibly FFI and II)
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World
Actraiser
Street Fighter II Turbo
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
StarFox
Super Metroid
Mario Paint
Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of Holy-War
Mother 2 (also known as Earthbound)
You may have noticed some Japanese exclusive titles on the list. That's because we'll be playing all of these games on a Famicom and a Super Famicom! These systems are the Japanese versions of the NES and SNES, so all of these games will be in Japanese.
The games we'll be finishing are The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Actraiser, StarFox, and Super Metroid. We'll be streaming live on twitch.tv and I'll post a link to our twitch.tv page later this week.
